Museum of St Albans
Salaman Tool Gallery Visible storage has doubled the number of tools on display in the Salaman Tool Gallery at the Museum of St Albans.
Display panels carry a combination of real objects, photographs and other archive material, while drawer-style display cabinets provide safe access for numerous, previously hidden objects in this national collection.
The flexibility of the panel and drawer system, appropriately constructed from wood and metal, means that in future even more of the collection will be on public display.
Medieval Gallery At the centre of The Museum of St Albans is the Medieval Gallery. Hand-painted, half-timbered structures and replica tiles – made by original methods – are the first level of interpretation, inspired by St Albans Abbey.
