Warner Textile Archive,
Braintree Museum

From gowns for Queen Mary to a collection of fantastical creations from the Royal College of Art, Warner was at the cutting edge of textile design for over 125 years. Braintree Museum bought the company’s textile archive and created a home for it on the site of the original Warner’s mill.

Objectives’ task was to design an exhibit with a dual role: to present the story of Warners to an audience that includes fashion and textile historians, students and designers, and to provide a visitor centre, showcase and sample-viewing room aimed at companies seeking to reproduce the original designs under license.
